The Nursery

Our plant nursery began back in the 1960s and has grown since then to become regarded as one of the leading plant nurseries in the region. From our humble beginnings selling our produce at Worksop market to now, we have always worked hard to ensure that we produce great plants for fair and competitive prices.

In 2009, our family run business was passed down to the son of the original owners, giving it a new sense of energy and purpose, along with a desire to make it a gardeners paradise for all. We stock a large variety of plants to suit all of your requirements and can even supply our very own grown vegetables for excellent prices. We grow much of our own stock so we know that they are the healthiest around as we firmly believe in offering quality, and nothing else. It also means that there is no middle man, so we can keep our costs low.

We are exceptional proud of our reputation that we have worked so hard to build, and as a family business, you can always be sure of a friendly and reliable service at all times.

The Nursery hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday to Sunday

Colour for all Seasons

Whatever the time of year, every garden should have plenty of interest and colour.

In winter Mahonias and Hamamelis performing reliably regardless of frost and snow, Viburnums and Forsythia brighten up the spring, Ceanothus and Lavenders are always good for summer and in the autumn Hydrangeas and Acers bring rich colours.

Planted Containers can be brightened up any patio or basement. Select from our wide range of evergreen plants to give year round interest, and add a dash of colour with seasonal bedding plants according to the time of year.

Garden Tools

Every gardener needs a selection of tools, and we stock a large selection of quality items to help you get to grips with every task.

We stock tools by Burgon & Ball, Fiskars, Darlac, Gardeners Mate

All our tools are good quality, and built to last. Some are better suited to the everyday gardener while others are great for occasional work. You’ll find tools at prices to suit all pockets. If in doubt, ask one of our staff to help you select the right tool for your situation, at the best price.

Gardening Sundries

Here at Darfoulds Nursery we know what you need for your garden. We also know that from time to time new equipment and gadgets appear on the scene, and we like to showcase the best of these.

As you’d expect, we have a lot of items for all those ‘odd jobs’ that happen in the garden. Some of them are mind-bogglingly useful, and you’ll wonder how you ever managed your garden without them!

House Plants

Plants for your home and conservatory, and of course plants to give as gifts.

Many of our plants come to us direct from a local specialist grower, so you can be sure that they are in tip-top condition.

Choose from fabulous Phalaenopsis orchids, Begonias, Cyclamen, Azaleas, plus ferns and specimen foliage plants.

Naturally we have specialist composts and houseplant care products and a range of containers and pots.

And of course we have all the well-known manufacturer branded items like weedkiller, fertiliser, lawn treatments, and pest control, all trusted, tested, tried and true.
